Who we are

Free Range is a game made by Nikku Ang ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Free Range game on iPhone, iPad and Android, and this website. If you have a question about it, write to [email protected].

What the game collects

Nothing. The game does not ask for or collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, microphone, camera or any identifier of your device or of you. It contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no other service that collects data, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.

On the App Store, the game's privacy label is "Data Not Collected".

What stays on your device

To play, the game keeps a few things on your device:

• Your farm: your chickens, eggs, buildings, decorations, caretakers, gold and progress, and your best score in Fluffy Chicks.
• Your settings, such as the music and sound volumes, whether iCloud sync is on, and whether the full version is unlocked on this device.

These are stored only on your device and are never sent to us. Deleting the game deletes them.

iCloud sync (iPhone and iPad)

When you are signed in to iCloud and the game's iCloud sync is on, the game keeps one copy of your farm in your own iCloud account, in Apple's CloudKit private database for Free Range. That copy holds:

• your farm's save file;
• the in-game day and time it was saved at, and the version of the save;
• whether it was saved on an iPhone or an iPad.

Only you can read this copy. It lives in your iCloud, not on any server of ours, and we have no way to see it or open it. Apple stores it for you under Apple's privacy policy.

You can turn iCloud sync off at any time in the game's Settings; your farm then stays on your device alone. To delete the copy in iCloud, open your device's Settings, tap your name, then iCloud, and manage the storage used by Free Range.

Purchases

Free Range is free to play on its first land. On iPhone and iPad, the full version is a one-time in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment: we never receive your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. The game only asks the App Store whether the full version has been bought, so that it can unlock it or restore it, and remembers the answer on your device. Apple's privacy policy applies to the purchase.

If the Android version offers a purchase, it will be handled by Google Play in the same way, and this policy will say so before it does.

The internet

Free Range has no servers of its own and plays fully offline. On iPhone and iPad it goes online only to talk to the App Store, for a purchase or a restore, and to your iCloud, for sync. The Android version doesn't use the internet at all.

Children

Free Range is made for players of every age and is rated 4+. Because it collects no information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

This website

This website is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser, has no analytics and no ads, and loads its pictures, videos, music and scripts from this site only.

Like every web host, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address and your browser's request to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

If you write to us, we use your message and your email address only to answer you, and we delete them when you ask.

Your rights

We hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing of yours for us to show, correct, export or delete. Your farm is in your hands: on your device, and in your iCloud if you sync it. If you have written to us and want your messages deleted, write to [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If the game or this website ever handles information differently, we will update this page and the date at its top before the change takes effect.
